Windows 7 ‘GodMode’
It would appear that a developer at Microsoft is also an avid gamer.
God mode is the close friend of gamers who want ultimate control over their virtual enviroment. Infinite health, inventory, and perspective - everyone at your mercy. Such exploits are often refered to as hacks, or 'HAX' to the initiated. So it comes as a surprise to see such a feature in Microsoft's latest desktop OS Windows 7.
How do you enact this 'GodMode'? It's quite simple. Create a new folder on your desktop, and name it GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} The result? A greatly expanded control panel, with enough tools to make any control freak geek's mouth water. Keep in mind that this is an unofficial undocumented feature, and may not be reliable. Use it at your own risk.
Enjoy!
<Jan 5th 3:30PM>: It would appear that this trick also works on Vista. :)

You can call it whatever you want, as long as you put the code in.

Yeah, I just noticed that. But it’s known as GodMode, so that’s what I shall call it. :)

What does it allow you to do?

It’s pretty much the normal control panel, except everything is consolidated into a single page to make life easier. It’s quite neat. :)
